Eat Plants, Die Healthy.

Multichannel campaign that explored how eating a diet rich in whole plant foods can help prevent, treat, and even reverse Australia’s top five causes of death.

In 2020, the top causes of death in Australia were heart disease, dementia, stroke, lung cancer, and chronic respiratory issues, all non-communicable diseases. The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) noted that certain deaths from cancers, heart disease, diabetes, and infections were preventable.

For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, heart disease was the leading cause of death, alongside significantly higher rates of diabetes and chronic respiratory issues, accounting for over a third of deaths in this population.

To address these health challenges, we launched a six-week campaign promoting a whole foods plant-based diet. The first week will covered diet-related diseases, followed by five weeks focusing on the leading causes of death. We provided clear facts and illustrations to highlight the health, animal welfare, and environmental benefits of this way of eating (and living!)
